Where reality drifts and fantasy takes hold.

Yonder Festival was born from the legacy of the beloved Jungle Love Music & Arts Festival, which ran for five golden years in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. When Jungle Love concluded in 2018, the team behind it created something new — a three-day celebration of creativity that took the original spirit and shaped it into a deeper, more experimental experience.

Held in a secret location in the Mary Valley, Yonder offered freshwater creek swimming, stunning sunset views from towering hills, and an air of seclusion from the city. In this hinterland oasis, greeting and farewelling the sun as it crossed the landscape was a daily part of the Yonder experience.

Built on strong values.

Yonder was grounded in inclusivity and experimentation, focusing on supporting emerging and diverse artists in an immersive, collaborative environment. The festival placed a huge emphasis on Indigenous producers, artists and communities, as well as local creatives across all disciplines.

Alongside an extensive music program across four stages, the festival maintained an equal focus on visual art, theatre, dance and audience engagement through workshops and talks. Innovative and experimental artworks, engaging high-end audio and visual production were showcased alongside exciting emerging acts.

Yonder was built on core values of community, acceptance and a commitment to providing a safe space for the diversity of all people. The festival created an experience — an opportunity, a moment — for those attending to truly embrace their natural self.
