Vast Yonder was engaged by Brisbane Airport Corporation to deliver a large-scale mural program across the airport precinct. The commission brought leading artists to create permanent public artworks that greet millions of domestic and international travellers passing through Brisbane each year.
The program reflects Brisbane Airport's commitment to placemaking and cultural identity, using public art to create a distinctive sense of arrival that celebrates the city's creative community. Each work was developed in close consultation with the client to ensure alignment with the precinct's design vision and audience experience.
Scope & delivery.
Vast Yonder managed the full delivery pipeline from artist curation and concept development through to surface preparation, installation and project documentation. The program included artist briefings, design approvals, safety and access coordination and final handover.
Working within an active airport environment required careful coordination with operations teams to ensure works were delivered safely, on time and to the highest standard of finish.
